Junior – U8 Cricket

For children in School Year 3. Played with plastic bats, stumps and tennis balls, this is a great introduction to cricket.

Sessions run from late April till mid July and will run on Tuesday evenings.

Each session will be split into many different activities, fun warm ups, various games and exercises involving many different cricket skills, batting, bowling, different kinds of fielding, lots of catching and throwing, hopefully all mixed in with more fun.

Open to boys and girls, as we say, this is a great introduction for novices new to cricket, but also great to work on the basics of the various strokes and techniques for those not new to it. Also the next step after the All Star programme.

Parents are all welcome, and encouraged, to join in, or sometimes join us to soak up some evening sunshine. We do ask that it is not a ‘drop and go’ session, as a responsible adult should be present just in case a child needs a parent.
